Java Green in DC

Food I didn’t make for a change! My friend Lindsay and I went to Java Green for lunch, and I wanted to share the food we got.

Raw pizza with kale “chips”:

This was Lindsay’s. I thought the stuff on top was very yummy, but it definitely didn’t taste like pizza. It was weird and messy to eat but I thought it was good. Lindsay was less enthusiastic, but she’s not much of a raw fan šŸ˜‰

My sandwich! I was very impressed with their gluten-free bread. This was Temptation sandwich – grilled tempeh with spinach, avocado, tomato, soy cheese, and special sauces.

Oh my goodness!!!! I absolutely LOVE Java Green, but haven’t been there for a very long time and when I found out I was gluten intolerant I didn’t think I’d be able to eat their amazing food again!

This makes me really happy. LOL. And that sandwich looks amazing! Yum!

They actually have a gluten-free section on the menu, and I think all the raw dishes are gluten-free as well. AND they have gluten-free cakes and brownies!
